This land is my land,
This land is your land, This land is my land, From California to the New York islands. From the redwood forest to the Gulf Stream waters, This land was made for you and me. As I was walking that ribbon of highway, I saw above me that endless skyway; I saw below me that golden valley; This land was made for you and me. This land is your land, This land is my land, From California to the New York islands. From the redwood forest to the Gulf Stream waters, This land was made for you and me. |

Best of Worlds
Let's walk together, let's walk together, and if one of us stumbles along the way, someone will reach out a helping hand and everybody else will say, everybody say. . . That's how it works in the best of worlds, We all get what we need. That's how it works in the best of worlds, We all give what we can and we all get what we need. Let's walk together, let's walk together, and if one of us gets hungry along the way, someone will reach out a helping hand and everybody else will say, everybody say. . . That's how it works in the best of worlds, We all get what we need. That's how it works in the best of worlds, We all give what we can and we all get what we need. There are times to offer and times to receive, times to celebrate and times to grieve. Times to teach and times we must learn, Times to accept the gift and times we must earn. Let's walk together, let's walk together, and if one of us gets hurt along the way, someone will reach out a helping hand and everybody else will say, everybody say. . . That's how it works in the best of worlds, We all get what we need. That's how it works in the best of worlds, We all give what we can and we all get what we need. |

Welcome to Music at Wylie
In Third grade students continue to develop the music skills that were learned in 2nd grade with singing, movement, and playing Orff instruments.
The photo above is our music motto that is posted in our classroom. These are the principles on which our music classes are founded. We listen to learn, do our best job at singing, move in our own space, and respect others at all times. When students receive a citizenship grade at the marking period their grade is based on the 4 principles of our music motto.
These principles also align with our school-wide PBIS initiative to:
Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Be Safe.
This week we read the book Golden Rule sang a song that goes with the story. We also performed a rhythmic ostinato as we chanted a poem with our names.
